Using the Nysa Atlas

Read the regional map, find canonical places, and open the Shilku child map without changing Presence.

Using the Nysa Atlas

The Nysa Atlas is a read-only map of the fictional realm. Open the Nysa Atlas to explore one continuous Farwake world-coordinate plane, canonical regional art, registered local detail, live Gazetteer labels, and settlement symbols.

Read the regional map

  • Drag or use the arrow keys to pan.
  • Use the zoom controls, mouse wheel, or + and - keys to change scale.
  • Use Terrain, Labels, and Symbols to control what is visible.
  • Select a visible label or settlement symbol to open that place in the Atlas panel.
  • Watch Scale / detail for source readiness, metric resolution, and blend state.

Tier 1 names appear first. Tier 2 names appear as you zoom in. Names remain live as you continue into registered detail; they are not painted into terrain. When labels would overlap, the Atlas hides lower-priority labels, but the place remains available through search and the directory.

The URL may retain x, y, and fractional z values so the same world view can be restored. These values describe only the Atlas camera.

Find a place

Use Find a canonical place to search the 52-entry Farwake Gazetteer. Search accepts canonical names and documented aliases, including punctuation and diacritic variations. Results and selected-place headings always display the canonical Gazetteer name.

The Canonical Gazetteer directory is the keyboard- and screen-reader-friendly alternative to selecting features on the map. Nysa itself is listed as the realm and has no regional point marker.

Zoom into Shilku detail

Select Shilku and use Zoom to Shilku registered detail. The Atlas stays on the same route and world plane. The regional source remains visible while the registered source preloads, then the sources blend as zoom increases. Use Fit region or zoom back out to return to regional-only detail.

The current Shilku source is an explicitly labeled diagnostic registration proof, not finished city or pedestrian art. A direct child-map deep link may still show the separate controlled Shilku record, but ordinary scale navigation does not require it.

Safety boundary

The Atlas does not read GPS, place an Avatar, change Presence, plan travel, perform movement, or simulate population/load. Selecting a place or changing scale affects only the local map view, registered source visibility, and URL camera state.

Troubleshooting

If registered detail is slow to appear, wait for the readiness message. The regional source stays visible during preload and on failure; zoom back out and retry once. If a canonical place is absent from both search and the directory, report its Gazetteer name—do not substitute an approximate point or a legacy map label.
